MEET ANDREA DYER
Buying or selling a home involves many choices and often includes making big decisions that have lasting significance. Having a trusted advisor on your side to listen and help you discern, synthesize and prioritize, someone to educate and guide, as you make these decisions, can be invaluable. Andrea brings her client-centered orientation, attention to detail, ability to distill and communicate complex information, knowledge of the real estate market and nuances of the Marin neighborhoods to guide you through the process of buying or selling your home.
Andrea’s professional background includes over 30 years of experience coaching, consulting, educating and facilitating leaders and organizations using a collaborative approach to create enduring change. She begins by listening to her clients articulate a successful end result ~ then together, they design the best approach, taking into consideration the client’s needs, current situation and market conditions.
Andrea has extensive knowledge of Marin County. She has owned homes in Mill Valley, Tiburon, and Corte Madera. She has been active in her children’s schools and activities including Ring Mountain Day school, The Little School, Reed Elementary, Bel Aire Elementary, Del Mar Middle School, Redwood High School, Tiburon Peninsula Soccer Club, CYO Basketball, Tiburon Peninsula Little League as well as several travel baseball clubs.
Andrea believes in the adage “think globally, act locally.” She has served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Community Music Center, Ring Mountain Day School, and the Del Mar Neighborhood Association. She has been involved in facilitating public dialogues on issues that she is passionate about, including Racism, Homelessness and Breast Cancer, and is an active member of T1D Marin (a community of parents of children with Type 1 diabetes).
Andrea received her degree with honors, in Business Economics from The University of California, Santa Barbara and began her career in Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting practice in 1986. She started her own consulting practice in 1997 and soon after, co-founded Demeter Matrix Alliance, a collective of senior consultants and coaches. She was a faculty member of the Sonoma State University Masters in Organizational Development program, is a Certified International Coaching Federation coach, thought leader in the World Café approach to stakeholder engagement, and an expert in process facilitation and change management.
Having lived most of her life in Northern California and Oahu, with brief stints in Santa Barbara, Paris and South Africa, Andrea has a deep appreciation for different cultures and diversity. During her early years, she was exposed to the world of design, construction, residential and investment properties through her father’s residential home building business in Hawaii. She now lives in Corte Madera with her husband, three boys and animals. She loves rich conversations, laughter, travel, architecture, photography, cheering on her boys’ sports teams, good food and wine, and being outdoors.
